ONCE UPON A TIME…READ OUR MISSION
Once upon a time, in a very small town in Quebec, Canada, a young couple who owned a country store started a family and soon found themselves as proud parents of two little girls. The girls were adorable (as all children are), full of energy, and eager to explore the world. The parents, both crafters at heart, were happy to share their knowledge through action and hands-on exploration. This meant doing activities like making playdough from scratch, measuring out the flour for morning pancakes, and learning how to crack eggs without getting the shell in the bowl.
One afternoon, the parents discovered their two-year-old eating a tube of lip balm. The mother quickly scooped the lip balm from the child’s mouth and read the ingredients aloud to her husband. How could so many toxic ingredients be found in such a tiny tube?! And this was a product people put on their lips!
The father, already a soap maker, decided to put his talents to work. He would make safe, non-toxic lip balm for his family. It couldn’t be that difficult to use 100% natural ingredients, could it?
It was so easy, in fact, the couple decided to create make-it-yourself lip balm kits so other parents and children could have access to chemical-free body care products. But they decided to make it fun, like a game!
The couple started selling the kits at their country store and the kits flew off the shelves. Seeing the enormous popularity and customer interest in natural do-it-yourself body care products, the couple designed even more kits, like DIY Bath Fizzies, and DIY Lip Gloss. The kits kept selling.
In 2008, Kiss Naturals was born. Over the next ten years, Kiss Naturals DIY kits would make their way into the homes of children all over the US, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
Now, father, co-founder, and co-owner Mike Wiesel, is making it his mission to help even more children through the purchase of Kiss Naturals DIY kits. The purchase of each kit featuring the $1 Donation sticker will send $1 to benefit the charities listed on the charities page of our company website. We continue to believe that sharing is caring and that natural products are key. We want to share those beliefs with these selected organizations and help support them in their efforts to help those in need and to continue to spread the idea that we should all “Live Natural. Play Natural.”
